Target Groups

KWIC - the project partner from The Netherlands - has a long experience in using e-learning environment for nurses’ education. There is a need to renew the existing e-learning curricula and to adapt them to cater also for adult learners, especially those employed in the care of the elderly.

E-learning competence-based education for continuing education of health care employees is not common in Estonia and Lithuania. These countries are in the process of harmonising their training programs with the EU vocational training standards, with the aim of facilitating the employability of hospital employees to practice nursing and health care in other EU countries. Therefore, there is a general need for coordinated common training courses, accepted by professional unions for schools and hospitals, for the promotion of contemporary, consistent and continuing education

The CoCareDigital project will develop special learning modules for health care workers aiming to transfer conceptual technical solutions and structures from the Netherlands to the target countries.

The expected success story in Estonia and Lithuania could become an example for other EU potential users who need to develop modern solutions for the continuing education of health care workers, always adhering to professional standards.
